A Johnson Update

As I was driving to Logan this morning to finally see my parent's new house, I heard a noise from the back seat and turned just in time to see Daxton spew cocoa pebble vomit all over our car. He then proceeded to spew three more times. I continued driving in silence, breathing in the chocolaty vomit fumes and I thought to myself, "Well, your life has reached an all-time low. What are you going to do now?" I'm pleased to say that although the past few weeks have been some intensly difficult, emotionally and physically draining ones, I'm still here, and I still believe that everything will eventually work out for the better. So, here's our latest update.....We successfully made the move from Florida to my parent's house in Sandy, and Ben started his training in Minneapolis. He has been commuting home on Friday nights to help us move things in on Saturdays, and then flying back to Minneapolis on Sundays to start training again on Mondays. We have had a lot of help from family, which has been nice because the kids and I got extremely sick right after we moved in. After three weeks of getting things settled into the house, yesterday the house sold, and sadly, we have to be out of it by December 15th. We had hoped that things would work out so that we could stay in the Sandy house until Ben got promoted at Mesaba, but it just plain didn't, for a number of different reasons that are too many to go into. Anyway, Saturday Ben flies home again long enough to go looking with me for a new place to live, and then we're packing up again and moving again...........big sigh. So, aside from a great deal of stress, we're really doing fine. Nobody's dead. That's a plus. It's just another pain-in-the-rear move to somewhere not free.

OH, MY, GOSH!! I hadn't heard that you have to move AGAIN. I am so sorry!! I really wish I could be there to help!! I will be there at the end of December and I am happy to give my vacation time to help you settle into wherever you will be. I really am sorry and I think you are so strong! I hate being far away not able to help family at times like this. We will keep you in our prayers. It will work out; I am impressed with your attitude!! We miss you guys and can't wait to see you. Good luck and please let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do from across the country.

OH MY GOSH! I am so sorry. I am stressed just thinking about you having to move again! And I am sorry you all have been sick and I am so sorry about Dax throwing up in the car. THAT is the WORST thing ever. I am glad you are still alive and if you need to get out of the house you are welcome to come up here and play. We can just send the kids down to the playroom and you can relax for a minute. I would offer to come out and help, but with my 5 I am afraid I wouldn't be much help at all. So, really if you want, come on up!

I just realized I copied Tiffany's opener. Duh.

I'm copying both openers because I have nothing else to say: Oh. My. Gosh!!! Bless your worn-out little heart. The thought of you having to move again makes ME sick. I can only imagine how stressed YOU must be!! You've got your place carved out in heaven for sure.

Can I do anything to help? I'm just 10 minutes away and my kids are pretty low key which makes it easy to watch others. I'd really love to have your kids up to play to give you a much needed break. I'm serious. Email me: anniekarren at yahoo dot com.

Hang in there.

Whoa. I don't even know what to say. I want to cry for you. Seriously. You are a brave, strong woman, mom, and wife. Wow. I've said it before 5 different times, but you really are Wonder Woman. How on earth do you keep going?! I guess the fact that you posted this at 2 AM shows how stretched you are right now. We'll keep you in our prayers as well. I'd love to take your kids or do ANYTHING else that would be helpful - scrub toilets, go house hunting for you, bring dinner. Whatever, I'd do anything. Much love to you guys.

I don't even know what to say. That has to be so much work. I hope you are able to find a place to live soon. I hope the windows of heaven part for you (refer to Amy's Blog) I don't know how you are doing this. The saying, if mom's not happy no one is, I hope you are doing ok physically, emotionally and mentally. Good luck with everything.
There really are so many cousins on Ben's side that I am sure we can rally the troops to help with packing and moving.

We like your attitude that things will work out. Pres. Hinckley said,"It will all work out; put your trust in God." Wish we could do more than pray for you.Love you!
